PROJECT

MILLENNIA UK

a store called millennia is located in a mall

PROJECT

Create giant copper displays but at a fraction of the cost of using real copper. We love a challenge!

OVERVIEW

Object Space Place set us the challenge of the internal branding of the Millennia store opening at Westfield Stratford, a new store specialising in memorabilia.

With only 2 weeks before the store opened, the 360 R&D team worked overtime to find a suitable solution that would conform to fire regulations and the high standards that are expected within Westfield.

Standard off-the-shelf copper effect solution simply were not a close enough match, so after a few days of testing, 360 set on printing our own metallic copper vinyl adhered to CNC cut ACM with copper sprayed edges.

A fantastically realistic solution but next came the production. Working with over 200 cut triangles of varying sizes, long days and weekends followed in order to provide the installers with enough time to work out how to hang this all from the ceiling and windows.

Working closely with the CAD skills of Object Space Place, 360 created a series of templates to ensure all the triangles were equally spaced yet secured firmly in place.

After 5 long days of installation, the art pieces were finally completed just 2 days prior to opening.

In addition to the copper displays, the store was also complimented with 20mm laser cut white Perspex lettering adhered to the wall and a rimless LED illuminated sign suspended between the existing glass shopfront.
